Okay folks, I always like making things better, so here goes.
Makes 12 medium size bagels.
This makes 3 batches of 4 bagels each. So 12 all together.
The point value is 4 points each depending on size. Smaller would be 3.
I make my own self rising flour. I find that it's fresher.
I use 2 cups of All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup of Sprouted Wheat Flour
1 cup of Bob's Red Mill 7 grain pancake and waffle mix
3 cups of Kirkland Greek Yoghurt
4 1/2 tsp of Baking Powder
1 tsp salt
2 eggs for brushing the top.
please note...if the consistency is too moist just add more flour.
First step is sifting the flour mix. I sift the APF and together with the baking powder. I then mix in the Bob's Red Mill Mix and the whole wheat flour in. I also add the salt.
I fold in the yoghurt.
Fully incorporate all the ingredients.
Divide into 12 portions of dough. Roll and connect and work them so they are nice and bagel like. Brush egg white onto the tops of them.
Bake at 350 in a convection oven for about 30 minutes. Turn the heat down to 300 for 10 minutes.
I then brush with topping of choice.
