Just got back from my 3 month Diabetes check-up. Let me start by saying my "Why" was to control my diabetes, lower my meds and live longer than my father did who died at 58 due to Diabetes induced stroke and heart attack. Within 4 months on SP I lost 43 pounds, lowered my A1C from 6.6 to 5.1, stopped taking two diabetes meds and cut my BP meds in half. This brings me to my results today; after only 2 full months on Freestyle, my A1C is up to 5.5, My blood pressure shows a little elevation and my weight was up 6 pounds from my last visit 3months ago. I lost over 4 pounds this week so I actually went up over 10 pounds in the last three months. So I ask: who the hell researched this new plan and who is the doctor who said this was healthy and sustainable? I want to show him my results! I showed my doctor the plan and she laughed and then said "No Way!" Now keep in mind she was an advocate and was supporting me going to WW due to the success I had on the SP plan. She actually told me to stop going and do it on my own. Now if this doesn't speaks volumes as to why #freestylesucks I don't know what does. Thanks for listening and thanks for allowing me to get back on track with all your support.

I was told by my doctor to stop following Freestyle. I am diabetic and take six shots a day. I can’t eat a lot of protein because I have kidney disease and the beans, corn and peas are all carbs. They increase glucose levels and isn’t WW aware of this? While this “diet” might be fine for some people those of us with medical problems cannot live with this plan. I hated Freestyle! I am back to Smart Points and Beyond the Scale!
