I use to be a heavy smoker. I smoked for 35 years and averaged 2 1/2 packs a day. When the dr told me I had COPD I decided to quit. I had several failed attempts to quit in the past!! I put a filter on a end of a straw that was cut the length of a cigarette and would just puff on that. within a weeks time I was no longer a smoker. It has been 6 years since i quit. The down side to quitting is that food tastes so much better and i gained 85 lbs. I started ww last year and lost 50. i did this in 4 months. It took me two months to gain back 47 lbs. Now i digging deep inside to find that willpower again that i used before to get the weight off!!
